For the Future: The Campaign for Penn State Students has already become an historic part of Penn State’s history of philanthropy—more than $2 billion has been contributed toward making life better for current and future students. As part of the For the Future campaign, the Penn State Leadership Association is pledging to raise $70,000 to establish the Penn State Leadership AIG Trustee Scholarship to benefit UPUA students.

In the 2014-15 academic year, just the first of our multi-year pledge, $5,000 will be available in scholarship funds for student members of the University Park Undergraduate Association with financial need. Once complete, through the generous trustee matching program, the PSLA Trustee Scholarship will generate more than $10,000 annually available to students.

This is the first-ever alumni-created scholarship benefitting the students who make an impact through campus leadership. It’s an historic opportunity to support both Penn State students and the culture of student leadership that has enriched the lives of so many young people over many generations.

Give Now:

Levels of Giving

What makes the PSLA Trustees Scholarship possible is the commitment of donors to specific levels of multi-year recurring giving. While a one-time gift of any amount is important toward fulfilling our pledge, we are asking donors to consider one of two critical levels of giving:

  1. a larger commitment of $1,000 spread over three years (just ~$29/month for 36 months), or
  2. a commitment of $300 over three years (just ~$9/month for 36 months)

Recurring giving can be set up through Penn State’s official giving website, and is the most critical and cost effective way to help ensure we fulfill our pledge to make an impact for Penn State students.

Donor Recogition

Donors to the Penn State Leadership Association Trustee Scholarship will be invited to an annual Homecoming reception in State College, PA, which will include an opportunity to meet current student leaders and tour the offices of the University Park Undergraduate Association in the HUB-Robeson Center. Donors will also be recognized through a permanent, engraved PSLA Donor Appreciation marker.
